About the BEST after school Program (formally known as ASES)
The Salinas City Elementary School District's BEST program is state funded through voter approved proposition 49. The program’s goal is to improve assistance to students and broaden the base of support for education in a safe, constructive environment. It is the intent of the BEST program is to provide safe and educationally enriching alternatives for children and youth during non-school hours. Activities include homework assistance, music, physical education, art, dance, and computer classes.
